MCCC, Kutztown Reverse Transfer Called 'A First'

FIRST OF ITS KIND AGREEMENT – Students who sometime in the future attend Kutztown University to earn a bachelor’s degree can use credits earned there to also gain an associate’s degree in a related field at Montgomery County Community College, under a “reverse transfer” agreement announced Thursday (Aug. 21, 2014) by both institutions. College President Dr. Karen Stout, left, and university Acting President Dr. Carlos Vargas-Aburto shook hands after signing the document, which is being called a first in Pennsylvania. Student must amass at least 15 credits at Kutztown to make the reversal possible. Having two degrees, not just one, might enhance a student’s prospects in the job market, Stout said.
