North Coventry’s Auman Joins WMX Racers In Jersey
POTTSTOWN PA – North Coventry resident, firefighter, radio personality, car and motorcycle racer, and professional photographer Tammy Auman reports she has earned her 2014 Pro Motocross racing license from the American Motorcyclist Association.
As of late August, Auman was the only female competitor from Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware scheduled to participate in the WMX division of the Kawasaki Race of Champions, Oct. 3-5 at Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ.
Preparing for and earning her license “is a big deal,” particularly for a woman, Auman proudly said in an e-mail, adding “and it has taken me 10 years to get to this point.” She pledged to “represent our area the best I can” in the coming race.
Auman’s fire and sports photos have appeared frequently in The Post Publications. She also is a veteran reporter and staff member of Garage Talk Live, a motorsports news program broadcast Mondays from 8-10 p.m. via the Internet on Blog Talk Radio.
