PROOF THERE’S VALUE IN BRANDING – “Branding” is a term used by marketers and salespeople when they talk about getting the public to instantly recognize a company or institution and its purpose. The design of a Coke bottle? That’s branding. The American Express slogan, “don’t leave home without it?” Branding again. On Thursday (Oct. 2, 2014) the alumni relations team at Montgomery County Community College took branding a step further: they carved the college logo into the shell of a Halloween pumpkin, assumedly proclaiming theirs is education for all seasons … even the spooky ones.
