PEAK Adds Class Openings For 37 More Children
POTTSTOWN PA – New funding has made 37 full-day openings available for eligible families who want to place their 3- and 4-year-old children into the Pottstown Early Action for Kindergarten Readiness (PEAK) program, its Community Engagement Coordinator Jane Bennett announced Friday (Nov. 21, 2014).
Those accepted will receive a free, high-quality, full-day (6-1/2 hours) instructional program located at facilities operated by PEAK’s community partners and at Pottstown High School. It is specifically designed to improve the readiness of children entering kindergarten and to engage their families.
To be eligible for PEAK, children must live within the Pottstown School District, have reached age 3 or 4 by Sept. 1 (2014), and their families must meet certain verified income guidelines. Interested families should call PEAK Coordinator Mary Rieck at 610-970-6655.
