The local organization of active and retired business owners, sponsored by the federal Small Business Administration, has again scheduled a five-session workshop to help entrepreneurs examine goals and test business ideas.
Called “The Simple Steps for Starting Your Business,” the workshop begins Jan. 26 (2015; Monday) and continues bi-weekly through March 16; all from 7-9:30 p.m. at the chapter office, located on the basement level of the New York Plaza Building, 244 High St.
The Jan. 26 session, Start-up Basics, is a free class that gives participants an overview of skills needed, as well as advantages and disadvantages of starting a business. As an added bonus, SCORE counselors will be on hand to offer free counseling before and after each session.
Ample free parking is available in the Penn Street lot directly behind the plaza building. Arrive for registration by 6:45 p.m.
