POTTSTOWN PA – Borough police released photos Wednesday night (Jan. 21, 2015) on their Facebook page of a man they believe could be a suspect in an alleged armed robbery that occurred earlier in the afternoon outside the Wells Fargo Bank at the corner of High and Franklin streets downtown.

A female victim reported that a white male displayed a weapon and robbed her of cash as she was using the bank’s drive-through automatic teller machine, located on its north (rear) side. She described the suspect as a wearing a light blue hoodie or sweatshirt. After taking the money, police said he fled on foot toward the rear of the Redner’s Quick Shop market nearby.

The two photos, taken from cameras mounted at the bank, showed a similarly dressed man in motion there.

The bank itself was not robbed, police noted.

Anyone who may have information about the suspect or the incident is asked to call Pottstown detectives at 610-970-6577.
