Pottstown Rep Joins Higher Education Subcommittee
ROYERSFORD PA – State Rep. Tom Quigley – whose 146th District includes Lower Pottsgrove and Limerick townships, and Royersford, Trappe, and part of Pottstown boroughs – was named last week with three other members to the House Education Committee’s Higher Education Subcommittee, he reported Friday (Feb. 13, 2015) in an e-mail.
The subcommittee is responsible for focusing on legislation that involves post-secondary (after high school) education, including the examination of prospective bills before they come to the entire committee for a vote, and gathering information in public and field hearings.
Quigley said he was “motivated” to work on laws affecting higher education after having seen “the positive impact of Montgomery County Community College in the Pottstown area.”
Quigley recently opened his local office in Royersford, in Park Towne Plaza at 301 N. Lewis Rd.
