KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Commuters traveling U.S. Route 422 this week (Monday through Thursday, June 15-18, 2015) in the area of its interchanges at Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) are likely to encounter lane restrictions between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 6 office in King of Prussia announced.

Contractors for the department are scheduled to conduct bridge inspections during the period.

Restrictions and possible delays can be anticipated for:

  • Monday and Wednesday, on the right lane of 422 east, between the Route 363 and Route 23 interchanges in West Norriton and Upper Merion townships, respectively; and
  • Tuesday and Thursday, on the right lane of 422 west in the same location.

Additionally on Friday (June 19), also from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. according to PennDOT, the right lane of U.S. Route 202 north will be closed between DeKalb Pike and Main Street in Bridgeport borough.

The inspections depend on the weather. They are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect state bridges at least once every two years, and ensure the safety and overall condition of the bridges.
