Busy Bees Made For Happy Cedarville Festival

CALL IT A HONEY OF A DAY – A consistent stream of visitors made their way Saturday (Sept. 26, 2015) to the Honey Festival at Cedarville United Methodist Church on Laurelwood Road in Pottstown, where one of nature’s sweeter foods was available in abundance. Representatives of the local chapter of the Pennsylvania State Beekeepers Association brought a display hive of live bees (at top), whose loudly buzzing work kept guests enthralled. Kids were entertained by the state’s reigning Honey Queen at a crafts and activities table (above). Flowers (below) created by bee and other insects’ pollination were being sold to benefit the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities’ Outreach Center. And members of the MOSAIC Community Gardens in Pottstown (bottom) were among those at dozens of vendor and information tables to tell the public about their offerings.
