Palladino Scholarships Awarded To 3 Students

LOCAL STUDENTS RECEIVE PALLADINO SCHOLARSHIPS – Three area students – above from left, Daniel Garcia of Pottstown High, Eric Mettler of Spring-Ford High and the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center in Limerick, and Zachary Soltis of Berks Technical Institute – were presented June 21 (2016; Tuesday) by the Pottstown-based NARI-Building Industries Exchange with this year’s Robert T. Palladino Memorial Scholarships. The grants have been distributed since 1994 to honor the ideals of Palladino, a businessman, trade specialist, and community volunteer who operated his family’s second-generation roofing business. NARI-BIE board member Charles Palladino presented each recipient with a $250 scholarship to continue their education. They also received a one-year student membership to NARI-BIE, including opportunities for networking, continuing education, and internships. Garcia this fall is scheduled to attend Williamson College of Trades. Mettler and Soltis both will attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Below, the winners join NARI-BIE members and their families for congratulations.
