Be Active At Pottstown Community Field Day

POTTSTOWN PA – A free community field day organized by Genesis Housing Corp. and other local sponsors to help families learn about low-cost fitness and outdoor activities will be held Aug. 27 (2016; Saturday) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Chestnut Street Park, on the corner of Chestnut and Washington streets.

A variety of fitness and sports activities for group participation will accommodate up to 10 people each in outdoor exercise for about five minutes, accompanied by DJ-coordinated music. When the time’s up, each group moves on to another activity for another five minutes. The goal: for each visitor to be active for 45 minutes or more.

Those who participate in as many as 10 activities will win a free gift.

In addition to the activities and the DJ, the day also will features children’s table activities and free food samplings.
