Pottstown, North Coventry Flush Water Systems

Borough Effort Expected Over 5 Weeks

POTTSTOWN PA – Fall daytime flushing of Pottstown’s public water system through its hydrants is scheduled to begin Monday (Sept. 26, 2016), between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and continue periodically for the next five weeks, the borough Public Works Department announced in a paid advertisement published on its behalf.

“If water appears brown or rust-colored, run the cold water for a few minutes until it is clear,” the advertisement advised. For more information, call the department at 610-970-6527.

North Coventry Flushing Too

Similarly, the North Coventry Water Authority – also in a paid advertisement – said it would flush that township’s distribution system throughout this week.

Flushing will occur from Monday (Sept. 26, 2016) through Friday (Sept. 30) between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to the ad. “Low water pressure and discolored water may be experienced during this time. The system should return to normal approximately 30 minutes after flushing is completed each day,” it added.

For more information, or if problems persist after flushing, call the authority at 610-326-1064.
