Boyertown Agency Prepares For Thanksgiving

BOYERTOWN PA – The annual Thanksgiving Meal Drive conducted by Boyertown Area Multi-Service gets under way today (Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016) and continues through Nov. 18 (Friday).

During 2015, the agency helped provide 162 complete Thanksgiving meals to its client households. It’s hoping to do even more this year. Needed as donations are turkeys or turkey breasts, potatoes (instant or fresh), sweet potatoes (fresh or canned), stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, vegetables, fruits, bread-rolls-muffin mixes, pie filling and pie crust mixes. Extras like butter or beverages also are accepted.

The Nov. 18 deadline will enable it to assemble meals and distribute them to families before Thanksgiving. All food donations can be dropped off at Multi-Service, 200 W. Spring St., Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. To make arrangements to drop off food at other times, call 610-367-6957.
