Debris Removal Affects U.S. 422 Next Week
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – The working start of the New Year begins Tuesday (Jan. 3, 2017) for crews with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, as they take up where they left off on U.S. Route 422 in the year just ending.
PennDOT said workers will be busy removing road debris Tuesday through Friday (Jan. 3-6) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on eastbound 422 between Pawlings Road in Lower Providence Township and Armand Hammer Boulevard in Lower Pottsgrove. The highway’s right lane will be closed during these operations, the agency said, and drivers are urged to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone.
The progress of the work depends on the weather, it added.
Similar sweeping and debris removal also are planned for Montgomery County portions of Interstate 76 and Route 309, according to PennDOT.
