Volunteers Helped Spruce Up Schuylkill Trail
DOING THEIR PART TO KEEP THE SCHUYLKILL CLEAN – This group was among 90 volunteers who turned out on Earth Day (April 22, 2017) in Pottstown, Douglassville, and Mont Clare PA to participate in trail clean-up efforts along the Schuylkill River, the Schuylkill River State and National Heritage Area reported Friday (May 12) in its newsletter. Combined, they donated a total of 63 hours to spruce up the trail for spring. They gathered litter, pruned overgrowth, raked, weeded, and cut back invasive plants.
