Routes 100 And 422 Shoulder Repairs Next Week
POTTSTOWN PA – Operations to stabilize the roadside shoulders of portions of Route 100 and U.S. Route 422 are planned for Monday through Thursday (May 22-25) in Pottstown, Upper Pottsgrove, and North Coventry, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
To do the work, it said crews intend to close:
- The right lane of southbound Route 100, between King Street and U.S. Route 422 across the borough and Upper Pottsgrove, on Monday and Tuesday (May 22-23) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily; and
- The right lane of westbound U.S. Route 422, between Keim Street and Route 100 in North Coventry, on Tuesday through Thursday (May 23-25) also from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. The crews’ ability to complete the jobs depends on the weather, PennDOT added.
Tasks including road base repair and pavement patching will be tackled by workers during the same week at six other project sites in Montgomery and Chester counties, the agency said.
