NorCo Rite Aid Workers Spot Funny Money

NORTH COVENTRY PA – Associates employed at the Rite Aid Pharmacy, 1140 Town Square Rd., apparently were at the top of their sleuthing game Wednesday (July 5, 2017).

North Coventry Township Police reported a black male – about six feet tall, age 20 or so, and wearing braids in his hair (pictured at right) – walked into the store Wednesday at about 5:15 p.m. and “attempted to use four counterfeit $100 bills to purchase a gift card.” Employees spotted the funny money, refused to process the transaction, and called the department.

The suspect? He fled in a flash. Now he’s wanted by officers for an interview, and police hope someone will recognize him from the accompanying photo. If so, call the department at 610-323-8360.
