113 Night Paving Starts Monday In Perkiomen

Road Paving Due Next Weekend In PennsburgPERKIOMEN PA – Asphalt milling and paving operations scheduled to begin Monday (Sept. 18, 2017) night are expected to affect traffic on Route 113 across portions of Perkiomen Township and the borough of Trappe.

Lane restrictions related to the work between Boro Line Road and Route 29 will continue during night hours, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., through Oct. 13 (Friday), according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The project is part of an overall $4.58-million repair and resurfacing of 20 miles of state highway in Montgomery County, PennDOT said.

The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide drivers with a smoother riding surface. They are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone; slowdowns will occur, it added. The work schedule of general contractor Glasgow Inc. of Glenside PA depends on the weather.
