Two Lane Closures Due Next Week on 422 West
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Two separate projects, one to install signs and the other for road maintenance, are anticipated to create travel restrictions next week for drivers on westbound U.S. Route 422, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
PennDOT said it will close a portion of the right lane of 422 West on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 25-26, 2017) from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily between the highway’s Sanatoga and Route 724 interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove and North Coventry townships for sign installations related to road reconstruction there.
Then on Wednesday and Thursday (Sept. 27-28) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, it added, a right-lane closure on 422 West is planned between Keim Street and Route 100 in North Coventry for shoulder work.
In both instances, drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through work areas. Slowdowns may occur, the agency warned. The progress of work by contractor J.D. Eckman Inc. of Atglen PA will depend on the weather.
