Amity Seeks ID On Alleged Cigarette Thief

ALLEGED CIGARETTE THIEVERY IN AMITY – Amity Township police are seeking public help in identifying an unknown male (at top) who allegedly stole cigarettes Saturday (Sept. 23, 2017) at about 11:30 p.m. from the Wawa convenience store at 10 Maplewood Dr., Douglassville PA. The man is said to be one of five – four black males and one white male, according to a report on the police department website – who exited a white SUV parked in front of the store’s Route 422 entrance. He is described as a black male in his 30s, 6’3″ tall, wearing a tan T-shirt, tan pants w/cargo pockets, black boots, and black framed glasses. After taking the cigarettes without paying for them, police said, the suspect and car fled west on 422 toward Reading PA. Anyone with information should call Amity Det.
