Library Landscaping Project Honors Employee

POTTSTOWN PA – A new and extensive storm water management, water run-off, and landscaping project being planned at the Pottstown Regional Public Library, 500 E. High St., will be created in honor of and named for a former employee who spent 57 years serving library patrons from across the borough of Pottstown, the Pottsgrove townships, and the surrounding area.

“Clara’s Garden” will celebrate the devotion of Clara Hoss, who continued her long career as a library aide from the 1960s through earlier this year, according to library Board of Directors‘ Vice President Deb Penrod. The library project dedication was authorized by the board in thanks for her service.

Donations to help build the garden are being accepted (form below), and donors will receive a set of four purple tulip bulbs as a gift for every $25 contribution. Penrod noted that “purple is Clara’s favorite color, and … she loves flowers.” The project will be built during Spring 2018, “just as your tulips are blooming,” she added.
