Lawyers Say Lower Salford Corner ‘Dangerous’
LOWER SALFORD PA – The intersection of Freeman School and Salfordville roads in Lower Salford Township has been declared the “third most dangerous street in Montgomery County” by a Philadelphia law firm that specializes in pursuing lawsuits for compensation of personal injuries “due to another’s negligence or wrongdoing.”
Based on 2016 Pennsylvania Department of Transportation traffic data, the intersection was the site of 26 accidents, in which three people were injured, Solnick & Associates LLC said on its website and in a news release issued Wednesday (Oct. 11, 2017). There were no fatalities there during the year, it added.
Nine other “most dangerous” accident locations ranked by the firm by number of incidents, injuries, and fatalities were in King of Prussia, Haverford, Ambler, Blue Bell, Colmar, Conshohocken, Montgomeryville, Bala Cynwyd, and Cheltenham.
Last year’s PennDOT data indicates 129,395 reportable traffic crashes occurred in Pennsylvania, the firm claimed. “To add some perspective, the 2016 total of reportable traffic crashes is the 13th lowest total since 1950, when 113,748 crashes were reported,” it added.
