Thursday Meeting Reviews Towamencin BridgeLANSDALE PA – An “open house project update” to allow the public to review and comment on future plans to replace the bridge carrying Old Forty Foot Road over Skippack Creek in Towamencin Township is scheduled by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for Thursday (Oct. 26, 2017) at 7 p.m. in the township Meeting Hall, 1090 Troxel Rd.

PennDOT, in a media release, said it wants to “present the public with the final project design, detour plan, and construction schedule.” The meeting will be conducted as an open-house plans display, where citizens will have the opportunity to circulate among and see the displays, gather information and discuss different facets of the project with its design team, the agency added.

Construction bids on this bridge improvement project are expected to be opened in early 2018.
