Airman With Pottstown Ties Completes Training
SKIPPACK PA – U.S. Air Force National Guard Airman 1st Class Joshua K. Groff, son of Cindy M. Beiler of Pottstown, has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio TX, according to the Joint Hometown News Service.
Groff, who also is the son of Gertrude and Kelly Groff of Sellersville, and grandson of Jack Wright of Skippack, completed an intensive, eight-week program. It included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Groff is a 2015 graduate of Faith Christian Academy in Sellersville.
