422 Grosstown Road Ramp Closing Overnight
STOWE PA – The ramp from Grosstown Road at the Stowe interchange of eastbound U.S. Route 422 will be closed overnight Wednesday (March 28, 2018) at 9 p.m. through Thursday (March 29) at 5 a.m. for pipe installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
During the overnight closure, drivers will be directed to use High Street to access eastbound 422, the agency said Monday (March 26). those traveling the route also are advised to allow extra time “because backups and delays will occur.” All scheduled activities depend on the weather.
The work is part of PennDOT’s major improvement project to reconstruct 1.2 miles of U.S. 422 from just east of the Schuylkill River bridge to just west of the Montgomery County line across North Coventry, West Pottsgrove, and Douglass townships.
H & K Group Inc. of Schwenksville is the general contractor on the $35,581,408 project. It is scheduled to be completed in late 2020.
