Valley Gas Main Work Occurs This Week, NextCOLLEGEVILLE PA – Two Perkiomen Valley highway locations are expected to receive new gas main installations from PECO Energy between mid- and late June, and they’re expected to create slowdowns for drivers, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Weekday lane restrictions due to the PECO work are scheduled to occur:

  • Today (Monday, June 18, 2018) and Tuesday (June 19) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days on Route 29 at Rivercrest Drive in Upper Providence Township; and
  • Friday (June 22) through Thursday (June 28) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Greenwood Avenue, between College Avenue and Meadowland Drive, also in Upper Providence Township.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities depend on the weather. PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
