Pennsburg Team Effort Reunites Child, Family

Pennsburg Team Effort Reunites Child, FamilyPENNSBURG PA – A team effort among emergency first responders helped reunite a lost young child with family members Tuesday afternoon (June 26, 2018), according to an Upper Perkiomen Police Department report.

Officers received a call at about 12:40 p.m. that a “small child” – no age or sex was mentioned – reportedly was found alone in the 100 block of Long Alley in the borough. The youngster was unable to provide police with a name or home address.

That prompted a search for what the department, on its Facebook page, described as “an extended period of time.” It had help from members of the Upper Perkiomen Ambulance squad, who checked on the child’s health and well-being; and from Pennsburg Fire Company member Jay Miles, who offered assistance in determining and ultimately finding the child’s residence … in neighboring East Greenville borough.

Police did not explain why the child was found a distance from home, or if parents or other guardians were aware the child was missing. They provided no other details of the incident.
