Persistent Friday Rain Floods Parts Of Pottstown
POTTSTOWN FLOODING REPORTED FRIDAY – Visitors to the 422 Sucks page on Facebook reported extensive flooding Friday night (Sept. 7, 2018) after 9 p.m. in certain areas of downtown Pottstown near Manatawny Creek. User Lindsey Serene captured a photo (above at left) through her car’s windshield of a barricade blocking traffic from using the High Street bridge at Manatawny Street. User Alayna Hackert post a video still image (above right) said to be taken from the steps at the Elks Lodge parking lot at East High, where water could be seen reaching the bottom of car fenders. Friday night’s rain, which began in some western Montgomery County areas, at about 5:45 p.m., was still falling in some locations as of 5:15 this morning (Saturday, Sept. 8).
