422 Overnight Restrictions Planned Sept. 21-22

OAKS PA – Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled next Friday and Saturday (Sept. 21-22, 2018) on westbound U.S. 422, from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. daily, for concrete patching between its Route 363 and Oaks interchanges in Upper and Lower Providence townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. Slowdowns will occur, PennDOT said. The schedule of the agency’s contractor, Allan Myers LP of Worcester, depends on the weather.

As part of this project, 422 will be resurfaced in both directions from just east of the Route 29 interchange to west of the Route 363 interchange. PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the highway with new asphalt.

Work on the project is expected to be completed later this year.
