UPPER PROVIDENCE PA – Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled to continue through Saturday (Oct. 6, 2018) on westbound U.S. 422 for resurfacing work, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today. As part of this project, U.S. 422 will be newly paved in both directions from just east of the Route 29 interchange to west of the Route 363 interchange.
Highway crews began their efforts Sunday (Sept. 30). The remaining work schedule is:
- Through Thursday, nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., lane restrictions are scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between the Route 363 and Oaks interchanges across Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, for sawing and sealing; and
- Friday and Saturday (Oct. 5-6) from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m., lane restrictions are scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 in the same portion for concrete patching operations.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. Slowdowns will occur, PennDOT said. The contractor’s schedule depends on the weather.
