New Pottstown Video Promotes Mental Health

POTTSTOWN PA – If a Pottstown School District teacher or other representative contacts parents and suggests their child may be in need of counseling, or is exhibiting behavioral issues that should be addressed, district Superintendent Stephen Rodriguez suggests the call is intended to be helpful … not worrisome.

Rodriguez, in a new video titled “Mental Health Matters,” talks with Dr. Andy Trentacoste (above at left), chief executive officer and clinical director of Creative Health Services of Pottstown, about the negative stigma that sometimes accompanies such conversations. Those talks can, but should not, cause parents to fail to seek treatment or help for their child, the pair says.
