Voter Services Adding Hours For Absentee Ballots
NORRISTOWN PA – Montgomery County voters who need to apply for, or submit a completed, absentee ballot for the 2018 elections have three more special opportunities to do so, it said. All occur this week.
Absentee ballots can be requested or submitted whenever the county Voter Services office at 425 Swede St. Ste. 602 is open, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. But the department is offering added convenience to voters today (Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018), Saturday (Oct. 27), and Sunday (Oct. 28) by extending its office hours.
It will be open until 7 p.m. tonight; from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday; and from 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
All applications for absentee ballots must be received by Voter Services no later than Tuesday (Oct. 30) by 5 p.m., and completed absentee ballots must be received by Friday (Nov. 2) by 5 p.m. Those are absolute deadlines, by the way; having requests or submissions postmarked by those dates and times won’t count.
If you rely on the Postal Service to mail in absentee ballots, the department said, “a single, first-class postage stamp is sufficient for ballots mailed in the United States.”
