Philharmonic Keeping Holidays Happy In TrappeTRAPPE PA – Keep your holidays rolling Saturday (Dec. 8, 2018) from 7:30-9:30 p.m. with a “Christmas Time Is Here” concert performed by the Pennsylvania Philharmonic and the acclaimed Klinefelter Trio at Community Music School, 775 W. Main St. Its musicians and the school’s chorus will combine to offer the complete soundtrack from “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” as composed by Vince Guaraldi.

The concert includes the Guaraldi originals “Christmas Time Is Here” and “Linus and Lucy,” along with his arrangements of “The Christmas Song” and “O Tannenbaum.” The evening will also feature the Pennsylvania Philharmonic Brass and music from other beloved holiday movies and TV specials, including Home Alone, White Christmas, Meet Me In St Louis, and others.

Other concerts featuring the Philharmonic are scheduled for Sunday (Dec. 9) in Bryn Mawr, and Dec. 23 in Bethlehem.

Then, at month’s end and just in time for the New Year, the entire symphony performs “Iconic Beginnings,” a concert featuring the best overtures and themes from Broadway, Hollywood, and Opera favorites. It’s scheduled for Dec. 30 (Sunday) at 2 p.m. at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell PA.
