SHARING READING AND EATING TIME – More than 200 students at Pottstown’s Rupert Elementary School, 1250 South St., spent a portion of Friday morning (March 8, 2019) reading their favorite books with their mothers, according to the school district. In its “Muffins For Mom” program, begun by Principal Matt Moyer, mothers were invited to the school to “enjoy a muffin, a hot cup of coffee, and some time with your child, reading!” Parents and children alike (at top and below) had a great time, the district reported. Students were encouraged to read every day, and Moyer hopes the exercise also will strengthen school and family ties.
