Get Personal, Private Paper Chewed Up Saturday
A mobile shredder (at top) will be available Saturday to mechanically tear private documents to bits
LIMERICK PA – Residents of Pottstown, Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, Royersford, Trappe, Perkiomen, and other locations within the state’s 146th Legislative District have a free opportunity to shed up to five boxes of old documents containing confidential or personal information on Saturday (June 1, 2019) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center, 77 Graterford Rd.
The no-cost shredding event is being co-sponsored by district Rep. Joe Ciresi and Limerick Township. The five-box limit is per vehicle, not per person. And it’s a first-come, better-served activity, too. If the shredding truck fills ahead of the 1 p.m. cut-off, the service will end.
Ciresi and the township indicated they anticipate a high demand for the service, which is promoted by many as a way to protect the public from identity theft.
For more information about the shredding service, call Ciresi’s office at 484-200-8265.
