Oaks Theater Offers Summer Showings For $1

OAKS PA – Need a way to keep young children occupied during weekdays this summer, and enjoy a break for yourself too? The Regal Theaters chain, which operates the Regal Oaks Cinema complex at 180 Mill Rd., will offer $1-admission movies Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m., beginning on June 18, the company said in a media release.

Promoted as its “Summer Movie Express,” a spokesman claimed the low-price showings were “one of the hottest annual deals Regal offers to its moviegoers.” It’s a “perfect way for families to spend quality time together while enjoying a big screen experience,” he added.

Among the PG-rated movies scheduled are:

  • Paddington 2,
  • How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World,
  • Teen Titans Go! To the Movies,
  • Smallfoot,
  • Despicable Me 3,
  • The Secret Life of Pets,
  • The Lego Movie,
  • The Grinch,
  • The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, and
  • Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie.

A portion of the proceeds benefits the Will Rogers Institute, which promotes and funds medical research of cardiopulmonary diseases, and buys neonatal ventilator equipment for medical facilities.
