Schwenksville Road Gets High-Friction Coating
SCHWENKSVILLE PA – Expect a single-lane closure on Schwenksville Road, between between Pennypacker and Hefflin roads in the borough, to continue today (Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019) and Friday (Aug. 16), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both, as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation installs a high-friction surface treatment on that stretch of the road.
PennDOT said the additional coating to Schwenksville Road is intended to increase “friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions,” the agency added.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. Slowdowns will occur, it said. Its contractors’ scheduled activities depend on weather conditions.
