Pottstown Man Wanted By Lancaster Area Police

MANHEIM TOWNSHIP PA – A 23-year-old Pottstown man is wanted for arrest on a warrant obtained by the Manheim Township Police Department, Lancaster County, its website reported Wednesday (Aug. 21, 2019).

Marleeke T. Lear – whose last known address was said to be in the borough, but who court records show also previously lived in Indiana PA – is wanted on two felony forgery counts involving the S&T Bank branch at 1683 Oregon Pike, Lancaster PA, the report stated.

Police allege that on July 25 at 10:44 a.m. Lear deposited four Western Union money order checks bearing his name and address, each in the amount of $980 and totaling $3,920, into an account at the bank. On the following day, July 26 at 2:22 p.m., police claim Lear deposited another three checks totaling $2,940.

He then traveled “to the Philadelphia area where, between July 26 and July 29, he subsequently withdrew all of the money in his account,” the reported added. The grand total, police said, amounted to $6,850.

Police obtained a warrant for Lear’s arrest from county Magisterial District Judge David P. Miller. Anyone knowing Lear’s whereabouts is asked to call Manheim Township police at 717-569-6401, or to anonymously submit a tip at its website, here.
