SOUTH ELEMENTARY WORK COMPLETED – Perkiomen Valley School District Superintendent Dr. Barbara Russell (at top left) and other district officials, school board members, area politicians, and guests (above) gathered Thursday morning (Aug. 29, 2019) at South Elementary School, 200 E. Third Ave., Trappe PA, to mark the end of its $6 million upgrade and renovation project, and cut a ribbon for its grand re-opening. It includes fresh paint, new flooring, new windows and doors, intended to give the building a more modern look (below), as well as to improve both safety and energy efficiency, the district reported. The project was approved by the Board of School Directors in January, and finished over the summer (at bottom).
