Alleged Retail Theft Suspect Flees Boscov’s

NORTH COVENTRY PA – The alleged theft of $172 in merchandise from Boscov’s Department Store at Coventry Mall on Route 724 prompted North Coventry Police to obtain an arrest warrant for a 32-year-old man whose current whereabouts is unknown, the police department reported Thursday (Sept. 12, 2019) on its website.

Police are searching for Andrew Michael Hataloski-Edwards, who was last seen fleeing from the mall parking lot in a white Dodge Dart with Delaware license plate 336700. Believed to have once lived in the Pottstown area, police he is wanted on retail theft charges under the warrant issued by Magisterial District Justice John A. Hipple, court records show.

Police were called to Boscov’s by members of its in-store loss prevention team, who earlier the same day reported they confronted Hataloski-Edwards for selecting merchandise and attempting to leave without paying for it. The man “returned only one of the two items that (were) stolen,” according to police, and then left the store under circumstances that were not described in the report.

Anyone with information on Hataloski-Edwards’ location is asked to contact North Coventry police by calling 610-323-8360, or anonymously submit a tip at its website, here.
