Pottstown Still Looking For Robbery Suspect

ROBBERY GETAWAY – An additional surveillance photo (at top) was released Thursday (Oct. 10, 2019) by the Pottstown Police Department of an alleged robber who rolled away on a bicycle late last month from the PNC Bank branch office at 1535 E. High St., Pottstown PA, after demanding money from a teller and fleeing – albeit somewhat slowly – with an unstated amount of currency. He rode away on a white or silver mountain bike with a red or orange rear-gear sprocket. “There was no mention of a weapon and no one was hurt during the robbery,” police noted. The department is still actively looking for the suspect, whom it reported was a “black male, dressed in all black, with a black “skull cap” and black-and-white bandanna over his face.” The robbery occurred two weeks ago, Sept. 27 (Friday), at 4:42 p.m. Anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the suspect is asked to call Pottstown Det. Cpl. Michael Breslin at 610-970-6577.
