Discover Delights of 18th Century Recipes

POTTSTOWN PA – Bring a sense of heritage to your kitchen by learning the skill of hearth cooking with expert Niel de Marino, during Pottsgrove Manor’s autumn cooking workshop scheduled for Nov. 16 (2019; Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Montgomery County historic site, 100 W. King St.

Explore tastes and skills of 18th-century kitchens by preparing a meal in Pottsgrove Manor’s reproduction kitchen. Marino, an expert hearth cook, will lead participants through all the steps of preparing historic dishes during this hands-on workshop. Embrace the heat of the hearth and find recipes that still delight modern diners.

Space is limited. Participants are asked to bring a bagged lunch. Registration information is online, here. Registration forms must be completed and returned to Pottsgrove Manor by Nov. 9. The event is appropriate for those age 14 and older. The materials fee for the workshop is $75 per person, which includes all food and materials.
