Douglass (Berks) Police Investigate ATV Theft
DOUGLASS (BERKS) PA – The reported theft of two all-terrain vehicles – a white-colored 2004-model Suzuki, and a black-colored 2007-model Honda – from a Spruce Lane residence is being investigated by the township police department. Both were taken sometime between Saturday (Oct. 12, 2019) at 7 p.m. and Sunday (Oct. 13) at 9 a.m., Douglass (Berks) police reported on their Facebook page.
“A third party also advised of a suspicious male in that same area earlier that day, asking about ‘thefts in the area’,” the police said, but they did not specifically indicate if the two circumstances were connected.
The white ATV is decorated with yellow and blue decals; the black one with red decals, “hand guards and chrome nerf bars.”
Police asked anyone who may have information on the thefts, or who “saw anything suspicious involving ATVs in the area,” to call the department at 610-367-9474. They also cautioned against publicly posting on Facebook any tips intended to be helpful to investigators. “Refer all questions directly to the number provided,” they added.
