Crew Spent Sunday Speeding Collegeville Work

PUTTING IN SUNDAY HOURS – Construction workers in Collegeville were on the job Sunday (Nov. 10, 2019), busily completing a renovation of the McDonald’s Restaurant in the Collegeville Shopping Center at the corner of East Main Street and 2nd Avenue. Like similar upgrades at other stores in the chain nationwide, the borough version “will have a contemporary look with large windows and earth-toned exterior colors in brown and black,” the Collegeville Economic Development Corporation reported on its Revitalization Notebook. Inside will be digital self-order kiosks, remodeled counters for new table service, and digital menu boards. Outside are designated parking spots for mobile order curbside pick-ups, it added. Not making a comeback? The restaurant’s play equipment for children. It’s being replaced, the blog noted, “by a patio for outdoor dining.”
