Driver Leaving 422 Strikes NorCo Stop Sign

HIT-RUN CRASH CLAIMS SIGN – A stop sign at the bottom of the South Hanover Street, North Coventry Township PA, exit ramp at U.S. Route 422 was struck and damaged earlier this week by an unknown driver and his or her vehicle, the township Police Department reported Wednesday (Dec. 18, 2019) at its CrimeWatch website. The cost of replacing stop signs runs between $125 and $175, depending on the state, according to the Manual of Traffic Signs website. However, the added value of urgent need to install a new sign and avoid future injuries or deaths can raise the price to thousands of dollars more, it added. The department is asking anyone with information on the striking vehicle to call it at 610-323-8360.
