PennDOT Re-Opens Upper Salford Creek Bridges

PENNDOT RE-OPENS BRIDGES – Two Route 63 bridges (green-highlighted routes at top) over the Unami Creek and Ridge Valley Creek in Upper Salford and Marlborough townships were re-opened Tuesday (Dec. 24, 2019) by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, following their successful replacements. Traffic that was destined for the bridges had been re-routed since they were closed since May (2019). A single-lane pattern on Route 63 remains in effect between Long Mill Road and Shady Lane through Summer 2020 for replacement of the third bridge, over the East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek. Advisories continue for drivers to allow extra time when traveling through the remaining work area, because backups and delays will occur.
