Upper Salford Route 63 Delay Foreseen Monday

ROUTE 63 DELAYS ANTICIPATED – Lane restrictions with flagging (at top left) are scheduled Monday (Jan. 6, 2020) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a portion of Route 63 in Upper Salford Township, between Thompson Road and Heather Drive, for barrier removal at the Barndt Road intersection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced. The work is part of PennDOT’s Route 63 bridge replacement project. Two replaced bridges, over Unami Creek and Ridge Valley Creek in Upper Salford and Marlborough townships, were reopened Dec. 24 (2019). A single lane pattern (at bottom right) on Route 63 remains in effect between Long Mill Road and Shady Lane through Summer 2020 for replacement of the third bridge, over the East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas.
