Lower Car Insurance Rates Benefit West MontCo
AUSTIN TX – Car insurance rates in Frederick, Parker Ford, Pennsburg, and Green Lane PA may not be as inexpensive as the state average, according to a Texas-based insurance rating company called The Zebra, but they’re vastly lower than anywhere in Philadelphia, it claimed Monday (Jan. 13, 2020) in its “2020 State of Auto Insurance Report.”
“Car insurance rates are at an all-time high in the U.S., and up 30 percent nationwide since 2011,” The Zebra reported, but added that “Philadelphia auto insurance rates are down 1.4 percent since last year. Annual auto insurance premiums in Pennsylvania averaged $1,474 in 2019, it said, compared to a high of $3,054 in one Philadelphia zip code, 19140.
In comparison, according to the company, annual auto insurance rates averaged:
- In Frederick, $1,515;
- In Parker Ford, $1,518;
- In Pennsburg, $1,523; and
- In Green Lane, $1,526
… four municipalities that benefited from rates considered among the lowest in the Philadelphia metropolitan area that includes 221 zip codes and 158 cities. The national average across the U.S. is $1,548.
The Zebra said its fourth annual national study explored 73 million car insurance premiums across every zip code, as affected by common variables such as driver age, gender, driving record, financial behaviors, and cars.
