Township Looks For Two Parks Board Volunteers
LOWER FREDERICK PA – Two vacancies remain, and two public volunteers are being sought to fill them, on the Lower Frederick Township Parks and Recreation Board, township Manager Mark Hudson reported Monday (Jan. 20, 2020) on the municipality’s Facebook page and website.
The board oversees “the planning, maintenance and regulation of parks and recreation areas within the Township,” and provides “leisure opportunities for residents of all ages,” according to the website. Additionally, it “strives to retain undeveloped land located within villages, such as Spring Mount, to be used as pocket parks for the community and, in some cases, to preserve pristine green space parcels in their natural state for future generations.”
The board currently consists of Chairwoman Donalynn Irick, Vice Chairwoman Pamela Reich, Secretary Janet Luneau, and members Warren Jacobs, Robin McGovern, Pam Hartman, and Joshua Meyers.
The township hopes to encourage two other volunteers to join them. Interested residents can contact Hudson by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling the township office at 610-287-8857.
