Ciresi Wins Democrats Re-Election Endorsement
HARRISBURG PA – State Rep. Joe Ciresi – whose 146th House District includes Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, and Perkiomen townships, Royersford and Trappe boroughs, and part of Pottstown borough – received a unanimous re-election endorsement Thursday (Jan. 30, 2020) from the Montgomery County Democratic Committee for a second term.
Ciresi, 49, is a Limerick resident. He first won the seat formerly held by Republican Tom Quigley in November 2018. He declared his candidacy to run again on Jan. 8, saying he was “proud of the strong reputation his office has cultivated by satisfying constituent needs in a multitude of areas.”
“I am grateful for the support and vote of confidence” from county Democrats, Ciresi added. “It reflects the support I hear from my constituents as well. But we’re just getting started in Harrisburg. I am ready to defend this seat.” Ciresi was joined at the committee convention by his wife, Pam, and members of his campaign staff at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.
Before holding elected state office, Ciresi worked for more than 16 years as sales and marketing director at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. His previous elected service includes 12 years on the Spring-Ford Area School Board.
Ciresi serves in Harrisburg on the House Commerce, Local Government, and State Government committees, as well as the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
